“Michael
Ferreira (082 772 3593) and Robert Cunningham (082 850 6400) started out studying finance at university and
then their eye for design got the better of them – in particular the potential
for handcrafted furniture. Local wood
that has fallen on hard times, so to speak, gets a second life – lead wood,
known as hardekool in South Africa – spends hours being worked into fine,
original furniture that’s functional art.”
