Lifestyle Home Garden

LIFESTYLE design GARDEN show
RANDPARK RIDGE
TEN INNOVATIVE MINI GARDENS
on show FEBRUARY TO 31 MAY 2014
The annual Lifestyle Design Garden show was launched earlier this month. This year’s design show is rather special as it features themed gardens through the ages that represent the landscape style of legends of landscape design!

eight unique designer gardens built by students of the lifestyle college
The student’s brief was to “create a garden inspired from a landscape icon”. The public will be charmed by what the students produced.

top award – a garden kaleidoscope
Judged best on show, the themed garden “A Garden Kaleidoscope” designed by students Vicky Harris, Christelle Ras and Dean Sutton captured their icon, Gertrude Jekyll’s style in ‘creating a garden revealing unexpected views and pictorial surprises’! Gertrude Jekyll popularised the informal, naturalistic look that is identified with English country gardens today.

nine other mini gardens will IMPRESS THE EYE
The mini gardens are well worth a visit as one or two are likely to spark ideas for your large garden property or your small townhouse garden.
PURITY – INSPIRED BY LANDSCAPE ICON KITAYAMA YASUO
The Japanese garden presents a vision of beauty that is rooted in an appreciation of nature. A craft displayed by a garden’s creator to bring the experience to the surface, to transcend the limitations of the mundane world and open the gate to the infinite.
PLanting seeds for more than twenty five years
The Lifestyle Home Garden Centre celebrated their 25th anniversary last year and continue to draw in home owners and families with the large range of eateries and retail outlets surrounding the nursery premises.
The Silver Birch restaurant has on several occasions won the ‘Options’ Best Tea Garden Restaurant award.
