The Art of Polo “Polo, the
Fastest Sport on Foot and the Biggest Field of Play”. The Game of Polo is said
to be the “Sport of Kings”. Polo is played on horseback with a team of players.
For outdoor Polo such as the Inanda Polo Field the team consists of four
players played on a field 300 yards by 160 yards. The size of the Inanda Polo
field is 80,000 square meters! The game is generally 6 chukkas (periods of
play) of 7 minutes each. Watching Polo on a summers or winters day is the “Sport
of Spectators”!
Whether tennis or polo is your
passion, a little bit of country in the city should play a role in everyone’s
weekend! A sport for every need polo lessons, tennis or horse riding lessons,
Inanda Town base offers all this professionally or just for fun, be sure to
find what you need.
Youth polo
school
The Inanda Novice and Youth Polo School has opened and all riders and
non-riders from the age of six are welcome. The lessons take place in a safe
and controlled environment and students’ riding abilities and capabilities are
assessed and a curriculum set accordingly.
Private and group lessons are available. Run by
Craig James, Polo Manager and professional polo player.
The ponies used are well schooled and safe for riders of all abilities.
